Front carpet & seats.

Front carpet fitted around bulkhead & steering column.

The carpet was a kit purchased off E-Bay. Good quality for the money but needed trimming to fit & a fiddle.

The headliner was a real pain to fit. It is definatley a 2 person job. I tried this on my own & failed!. You can see from the picture that there are a few wrinkles, but with a little help & lots of patience will pull out. The job is fairly simple but it need loads of patience & allow at least 8hrs to fit it. Strong but tacky glue is also required. I use the spray can type from my local DIY shop.

The seats were taken out of a Volvo 340 series car. I then grafted the VW runners onto the Volvo seat. The main reasons I used these was:

1) They are comfortable
2) They tilt forward at an angle, I'll take more photos to clarify.
3) I've never seen these seat fitted into a Beetle before.

They are a bit of a squeeze, but once the both are in, it's not too bad.

All seats have now been recovered, using half leatherette & half cloth.

Rear carpet & seat.

The rear 1/4 panels, front door cards & kick panels were recovered in the same leatherette as the seats.

The rear carpet is from the same kit as the front carpet. It also needed trimming to fit. Seen here before glueing into place.
